Can Music Change Mood?
The science is still out on if music really can change mood. However, what seems to be the case is that music can be incredibly cathartic for the listener. Music creates a safe space for someone to process emotions. The opposite is also true, where music can be used as background sounds, almost like white noise. Either way, music has always been a really important part of my life.
My Trichy Moods
As a trichster for over 15 years, I’d say that a large part of each day I feel emotions related in some way to pulling (depression, sadness, anxiety, jitters, trying trying trying to relax, etc.). For me, those are just the moods I deal with during my daily life with trich. Some don’t show up for weeks. Others are daily companions. I just try to go with it and ride it out the best I can. Music helps SO MUCH.
I listen to music constantly while I work (I work from home as a freelance writer and editor) so mostly I like instrumentals. I thought I’d share my favorites in case any of you need a hug, some comfort or just some chill head-nodding music. So just relax, chill out and try to feel good. Sometimes we just need some music to ease stress, put us to sleep, give us a smile or make us feel like we can win the battle. So, without further ado, here’s some music that helps me. Maybe it’ll help you too 🙂

Send Some Cuddles My Way
Do you, too, love music? Have any music to share? Great! Send some auditory cuddles my way. I’d love to hear from you. I’ve also made a list of songs with trich in the lyrics, but this playlist series is going to be for comforting our trichy lives. Relaxing, calming, soothing—that’s what I’m aiming for. We have enough stress. So let’s listen to some auditory cuddles for awhile.
Feel free to leave me a comment below or follow on Facebook and Twitter. As always, thanks so much for reading and take care. xx Rexie
